Chuy's new grandchild

This is new arrival Giovanni, David's daughter. I went to the baby shower with my mom and of course Chuy and Lupe were there. I have come realize just how fragile and unpredictable life can be, which is why I am cherishing all these special moments of my family's life. Life is short and so much is taken for granted. Misfortune is enlightening. We all learn the hard way.

I am not sure if you have taken philosophy classes or not but you are certainly developing enlightening insights.

I'm learning this in my Humanities course, "For bad fortune, I think, is is more use to a man than good fortune. Good fortune always seems to bring happiness, but deceives you with her smiles, whereas bad fortune is always truthful b/c by change she shows her true fickleness. Good fortune deceives, but bad fortune enlightens."-Boethius, Consulation of Philosophy
Our loved ones that we have lost will always be loved and missed. We will learn that all that still remain are genuinely given to us to love and cherish. Remembering our loss will remind us just how lucky we all are. We must live life to its fullest like grandma Lupe, she is always looking to accomplish something everyday. We should appreciate every moment as if it were the last-as Tim McGraw sings.
